About Kacem Zoughari

Dr. Zoughari is a well known Japanese History and Martial Arts researcher and practitioner. He is a respected translator and a personal student of Soke Hatsumi Masaaki and Ishizuka Tetsuji Sensei. A holder of a PhD in Japanese History & Culture from the prestigious INALCO in Paris, Dr. Zoughari is author of numerous articles and two books, the latest (an unprecedented work on the art published by Tuttle) is due out later this year. Dr. Zoughari has delivered lectures to institutions on Japanese martial arts and history both inside and outside Japan, including Cambridge and Osaka Universities. In addition to his scholastic achievements Dr. Zoughari is a talented teacher and exceptional practitioner, making him among the art’s most sought after instructors.
